Your Gift Funds Celiac Goals!Communications Projects$220,000 is needed yearly to continue robust communication efforts. Challenge: The American public remains largely unaware of celiac disease and how important it is for celiacs to adhere to a 100% gluten-free diet. Solution: Communications Projects. The goal of the various Communications Projects is to improve the knowledge base of patients, family members, the medical team and the community. Communication improves dramatically when all parties share a common background. The first $25,000 received will install the contact management database system to upgrade CSA’s existing extensive educational webiste which receives over 3 million hits per month. CSA also produces self-addressed postcards for requesting patient, physician or dietitian education packets, tri-folds describing celiac disease, its diagnosis and its treatment, Lifeline, a quarterly newsletter of 30+ pages, and The CSA Gluten-Free Product Listing, an annual 450+ page publication. With increased awareness and diagnosis of celiac disease, the demand for materials continues to grow. Even as CSA expands its use of less expensive communications channels, communication costs remain substantial. |
